Wait, it’s not July? But, it’s in the upper 90’s? And, the summer reading prizes are up? Oh, it just FEELS like July, it’s actually almost JUNE! Phew, June is filled with fun, so we wouldn’t want to miss it! Summer Reading (you know, the prizes, the raffle tickets, the performers…) begins June 17th and runs through August 2nd. Air Time Gymnastics, Tue., 6/11 @ 10am: Join us as we welcome our friends from Air Time Gymastics as they transform our community room into a gym! Please register as space is limited.
Time for Two; Simple Machines, Wed. 6/12 @ 6:30pm: Join us for this science based program brought to us by Pathways for Parents. Learn all about simple machines as you travel to different stations in this amazing hands-on program. You DON’T WANT TO MISS this! Program hosted by Behavioral Health Network. Please register as space is limited, caregiver must be present.
We are still in need of 9 junior volunteers (5th-8th grade) to help us run the summer reading program. For volunteer information click here. Already signed up? Don’t forget training classes (you only need to attend 1): Wed. 6/5 @4pm, Tue. 6/11 @ 6:30pm, or, Thu., 6/13 @4pm.
Father’s Day StoryWalk* on the Rail Trail, Fri., 6/14 5-7pm & Sat,. 6/15 10am-12pm: Grab the family and go for a StoryWalk on the E.L. Rail Trail! Fathers will each receive a coupon for a free quart of strawberries from Meadowbrook Farm. This event is sponsored and run by Pathways for Parents. Though we’re closed, the group will meet outside the library.
Summer Reading sign up starts!, Mon., 6/17: This is the first day to sign up! First, you sign up online (at home, or here at the library) then you stop by to pick up your reading log and TREASURE MAP! More details coming soon!
Kick-off Pizza Party!, Thu., 6/20 @12pm: Celebrate the start to the awesome summer reading program with pizza and music by the talented Jon O’Neil! All ages are welcome and there is no registration required.
